BIOGRAPHY

Kueh Ming Wei is a passionate classical guitarist and music educator based in Klang, Malaysia. With over a decade of experience in performance and teaching, he is committed to providing high-quality guitar education that nurtures both technical skill and a deep love for music.

His musical journey began in Malaysia, where he won the Adult Category of the Malaysian Classical Guitar Competition in 2016. In 2018, he earned a Distinction in the ATCL Performance Diploma from Trinity College London. Seeking to expand his musical knowledge, he pursued studies in Europe, completing a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Guitar at the University for Music Freiburg im Breisgau under the guidance of Matthias Kläger in 2022. He later graduated with a Master’s degree in Classical Guitar Music Pedagogy from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2024, studying under Professor Andreas von Wangenheim.

At Gugee Guitar Academy Studio, Ming Wei’s goal is to provide a well-rounded education that inspires students to develop their passion for the guitar. He places strong emphasis on fostering creativity, musical expression, and technical proficiency. He believes that success in music is not solely about achieving high exam grades, but about cultivating a lifelong appreciation and connection with music.

Ming Wei also has expertise in Early Childhood Music Education, introducing young learners to the world of music in a fun and engaging way. He strives to create a nurturing environment that supports the unique learning styles of each student, whether they are beginners or advanced players.
